I have a "friend" who says he has "bipolar disorder" and really he's just a bloody emo. He never uses anybody's help. My other friends and I all try and help him every day, but no, he just cries in his bedroom going "WAA WAA WAA, NOBODY CARES ABOUT ME, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, WAA WAA WAA!!!" In fact, here's a chat log to prove it, with my commentary in brackets (I censored his name). Note this was in late 2008, when I was still fooled into thinking he had a genuine problem:

m**o: he called me moany for all hell D: ("he" being one of his friends who discovered he was just having a laugh.)

nixot: you're not moany :( (Oh dear. Now I gave him an opportunity to start whining.)

m**o: yes i am (See? Look how quickly he changes his mind!)

m**o: i constantly whine about everything (Oh God, it went too far... here's the emo side taking over...)

nixot: but you have a reason to... (At least I thought he did.)

nixot: it's OK, we understand :) (Obviously not, but I meant at the time that I understood his "needs".)

m**o: how could u understand my hell (And that's the sulky "Go away, I don't want help" bit.)

He never used our help, always still emo and still cutting and crying over the slightest thing blah blah. And apparently he tried to kill himself nineteen times. Now that's a high score if I ever saw one!

And that's someone with "bipolar disorder". Ohh boy.

Also check this out. Bloody emos think that the world belongs to them! They're scared of being called emo, and when the OP was, she ran to the bathroom and bawled her eyes out. They hide their scars and are all scaredy and reclusive. There's one great solution to this: DON'T CUT YOURSELF! Sheesh! Isn't it obvious?!
